PURPOSE: To prevent discharged toner and adhesive contaminant from scattering in the case of discard by providing a heat impressing means for giving the heat energy of the heat generating means of a fixing device to developer left without being transferred and the adhesive contaminant which are removed by a cleaning means.

CONSTITUTION: In a cleaning device 15, the toner tf left without being transferred on the surface of a drum 1 is scraped to be stored in a cleaning container 24c by a cleaning blade 24a and a scooping sheet 24b. Then, a heat transfer plate 18 consisting of an aluminum plate effectively transfers the heat from the fixing device 12 to the discharged toner tf in the container 24c. Therefore, the discharged toner tf being powder is thrmally melted. Thus, there is no trouble that the discharged toner tf and the adhesive contaminant scatter in the case of discard.
