An in-vehicle terminal 10 of an automobile is provided with a user interface 11 for recognizing a traveling environment ahead of an own vehicle according to map information or the like, and for identifying characteristics of an operator. Also, the in-vehicle terminal is configured to switch a first traveling(ACC) mode for controlling an engine, a transmission and a brake or the like according to a control parameter calculated according to the traveling environment and a second traveling(manual) mode for controlling the engine, the transmission and the brake or the like according to the operation of the operator. In the second traveling mode, a plurality of status parameters showing vehicle statuses are learnt and stored when permitted by a user. In the first traveling mode, the control parameter is corrected according to the identified characteristics of the operator and the stored status parameters when permitted by the user.
