PURPOSE: To obtain incombustible paper, excellent in tensile strength, tear strength and surface strength and suitable as backing paper for wallpaper by blending cellulosic fiber with an inorganic pigment, forming a sheet and coating the surface of the resultant base paper with a coating color containing a binder blended therein using a coater.
CONSTITUTION: The objective incombustible paper, obtained blending 10-50wt.% cellulosic fiber with 40-80wt.% inorganic pigment, forming a sheet and coating the surface of the resultant base paper with a coating color containing a binder in an amount of 5-15wt.% based on the inorganic pigment blended therein using a coater so as to provide 5-50g/m2 coating amount based on one side and containing the inorganic pigment expressed in terms of the inorganic substance in an amount of ≥80wt.% based on the whole.
