Abstract:
To allow a user to more easily set character strings with less mistakes as character strings used for properties of a document file.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus is for setting properties of a document file by using a result of character recognition processing on a scan image of a document, and comprises acquisition means and setting means. The acquisition means performs character recognition processing on a scan image related to a document file to be created this time to acquire character strings. When the character strings acquired by the acquisition means are character strings that are obtained through character recognition processing on a scan image related to the document file created in the past and that are approved by a user a certain number of times or more, the setting means automatically sets the character strings acquired by the acquisition means as character strings used for the properties of the document file to be created this time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
