To reduce the burden of analysis about failure occurring in an information processing apparatus.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus (1) which executes a program includes: logging means (13, 23, 33, 43 and 53) which hold an operation log resulting from executing the program; character string determination means (11, 21, 31, 41 and 51) which determine whether or not a designated character string output by executing the program is included in the held operation log; and preservation means (11) which preserves at least a part of the operation log held in the logging means (13, 23, 33, 43 and 53) when it is determined that the designated character string is included in the operation log.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
