Abstract:
To reduce overhead in access to a storage section provided in a platform at an access destination.SOLUTION: An information processing system according to a first embodiment of the present invention comprises an intermediate device having an expansion bus, and a plurality of platforms connected one another over the expansion bus. A platform in an access source comprises: a first bridge driver that is communicable with a platform in an access destination over the expansion bus; a first virtual LAN driver which, recognizes the platform in the access destination as a platform on a virtual LAN, for generating a first access request to a storage section provided in the platform in the access destination, and transmits the first access request to the platform in the access destination over the first bridge driver; and a first block device driver which, recognizes the storage section as a storage section to be connected to the platform in the access source, for generating a second access request to the storage section, and transmits the first access request to the platform in the access destination over the first bridge driver.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
