This information providing system 100 of the transportation displays a differential advertisement every vehicle of vehicles for the transportation, and provides information about the advertisement to the user of the vehicle. The information providing system 100 comprises an information recording medium 11 recording user's identification information, an automatic ticket machine 13 for reading the identification information from the information recording medium 11 when the user comes into the site of the transportation, an attribute determining means 15 for determining the attribute of the user possessing the information recording medium 11 based on the identification information by the automatic ticket machine 13, a vehicle position specifying means 17 for specifying the vehicle having the advertisement targeting the attribute determined by the attribute determining means 15, and a displaying means 19 for displaying information based on the specified vehicle positional information to the user.
