Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injector which is simply constructed to secure combustion stability during stratified charge combustion while suppressing the attachment of fuel on the wall surface of a cylinder.SOLUTION: An injector 50 for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber 30 of a spark ignition type engine forms a first fuel spray group 100 constituted by a plurality of fuel sprays 110, 120 to be injected along a plane along the center-axis direction of the cylinder, including the injector and an ignition plug 40, and a second fuel spray group 200 to be injected into a region distant from the first fuel spray group. Coanda effects caused between a plurality of fuel sprays 210, 220 constituting the second fuel spray group are more powerful than Coanda effects caused between the plurality of fuel sprays constituting the first fuel spray group, whereby the penetration of the second fuel spray group is less than the penetration of the first fuel spray group.
