PURPOSE: To enable a minute amount of ink to be supplied to different positions in the width direction of the ink distributing roller of a proof press while adjusting it, by providing an ink valve arranged between each ink nozzle and an ink feed pipe, an operating means in which said ink valve is opened and closed by turning on and off and a controller by which said operating means is controlled.
CONSTITUTION: Compressed air is, at first, supplied to an ink pump 6 by opening a solenoid valve 41, and ink is supplied to an ink feed pipe 5 by operating the ink pump 6 to keep the pressure in the pipe at a constant pressure (for instance, 35kg/cm2 level). Then, a push button (not given in the figure) for all operations on a switch board 36 is pushed down. Thereby, all solenoid valves 24 are opened and closed a fixed number of times in a fixed cycle. A needle 19 is opened and closed once by the opening and closing once of the solenoid valve 24. A fixed amount of ink determined by the open time of the needle 19 is discharged in a long narrow manner, from each ink nozzle 4 and uniformly supplied to the ink distributing roller 1. Thereafter, a proof press starts to run regularly.
