Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of exudation in printing, by advancing the drying or curing of ink during the time difference until the printing position on a rotary drum is fed to the transfer position on printing paper to transfer the half cured ink. CONSTITUTION:By applying printing to a fixing drum 1, the time difference until the printing position on the fixing drum 1 is fed to a fixing position by rotation of the drum 1 is generated. By this constitution, for example, when ink composed of a composition obtained by compounding 30% of an ultraviolet curable prepolymer, 60% of a monomer, 6% of a photoinitiator and 4% of a colorant and having viscosity of 11mPa.s is used, an ink droplet having a diameter of about 10mum is perfectly solidified for about 30sec by the irradiation from the part 3cm above the surface of printing paper by an ultraviolet lamp 3 of 400W. On the basis of this result, the rotational speed of the drum is controlled so that the time required before the printing position on the glass drum 1 is fed to the position of a press roller 6 is set to 15sec. Therefore, the ink droplet printed on the glass drum 1 receives the irradiation with ultraviolet rays during the rotation of the drum 1 and curing is promoted. Then, the ink is fixed to printing paper 9 under pressure in a state becoming extremely high viscosity.
