Title:
INK JET RECORDING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3882244
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve weather resistance and discoloring properties and to give durability and productivity at a practical use level by incorporating a polycarbonate chain or polycarbonate chain and polyester chain in a molecule and incorporating polyurethane resin emulsion having specific mean particle size or less.
SOLUTION: Polyurethane resin emulsion having polycarbonate chain in a molecule and mean particle size of at most 3.0μm is obtained by reacting, for example, polyol containing polycarbonate chain and diisocyanate (aliphatic diisocyanate is preferable in view of stability and weather resistance) in solvent, and then emulsifying it. The diisocyanate and polycarbonate polyol are previously enhanced in molecular weight, and water dispersion of the state that no reactivity of the diisocyanate already exists is coated, and hence aging for forming a practical use film is not required. Thus, no irregularity of quality is obtained, and productivity can be improved.
