Abstract:
PURPOSE: To carry out the excellent dot gradation recording and accomplish the high speed of the discharging speed of ink droplets.
CONSTITUTION: Ink 80 filled in a plurality of pressure chambers 20 is compressed with piezoelectric elements. Ink droplets are made to fly from a plurality of nozzles 70 corresponding to the pressure chambers. In this ink jet printer, a control part and first and second vibrating plates 31 and 32 forming two side walls facing each other of the individual pressure chambers are provided. Therefore, first and second piezoelectric elements 41 and 42 having first and second piezoelectric displacement parts 41b and 42b, which are corresponding to the first and second vibrating plates and attached respectively, are provided. The signal from the control part is inputted into the first and second piezoelectric displacement parts individually. One or both of the first and second piezoelectric displacement parts are displaced, and the size of the ink droplet is changed. Furthermore, the first and second piezoelectric displacement parts are alternately displaced, and the ink droplets are continuously flown in this constitution.
