Abstract:
To provide an input device and an information processing system suitably usable for scrolling display contents in an optional direction by an easy operation.
When the fingertip of an operator which touches the movable member 112 of a pointing device 10 displaces the movable member 112, the relative displacement is detected by a light receiving sensor 114 and a second displacement detection means 113. On the basis of the detected displacement, the display contents at an image display device are scrolled. Since the movable member 112 can be freely displaced in the optional direction on a plane relatively to a fixed member 111, the display contents displayed at the image display device are scrolled in the optional direction.
