PURPOSE: To provide an insecticidal mat having high and stable initial insecticidal power and containing a volatile insecticidal component included in a cyclodextrin and a compound which can be included in cyclodextrin at a temperature higher than the storage temperature and lower than the evaporation temperature of the insecticidal component.
CONSTITUTION: The insecticidal mat contains (A) a volatile insecticidal component included in β-cyclodextrin (CD) and (B) a compound which can be included in CD at a temperature higher than the storage temperature and lower than the evaporation temperature of the insecticidal component A. The ratio of A:B is 100:20W60 and the sum of the components is 10W50mg/cm2. The component B in the above insecticidal mat is melted with heat and brought into contact and compete with the component A to partly intrude into CD by replacing the component A. Accordingly, the initial releasing property is improved and the quick release of whole component A is prevented. The combination of the components A and B is preferably pyrethrin and polyoxyethylene lauryl ether, etc., having high melting point.
