PURPOSE: To prevent the protrusion of foam by covering synthetic resin foam with surface paper whose both ends are downwardly folded back over the length corresponding to the thickness of the synthetic resin foam and pressing the covered foam by a pressure plate.
CONSTITUTION: A square running stock 7 is moved at a constant speed by automatic drive rollers 15 so as to reach a place where a stirrer 8 is arranged and a predetermined synthetic resin foam raw soln. is injected in the square running stock 7. This running stock is moved to a lower endless converyor 10 from the automatic drive rollers at a constant speed as it is and surface paper 3 is preliminarily folded back by upper and lower surface paper adjusting rolls 11a, 11b so as to conform to the shape of the square running stock to be supplied in order to cover the square running stock for a building material. The running stock is continuously pressed before the curing of the synthetic resin foam raw soln. by the foamed pressing flexible material applied conveyor belt 12b provided to an upper endless conveyor. Then, a space gap is formed in the thickness direction of a building panel. Since the folded-back part of the surface paper is directed downwardly, foam does not overflow from the gap and a product having a smooth surface is obtained.
