Abstract:
PURPOSE:To execute an accurate inspection by differentiating a shaded picture taken in from a camera when the position shift of a component to be inspected is measured, and when the polarity of the component is decided. CONSTITUTION:When the misregistration of the component to be inspected is measured, and when the polarity of the component is decided, the shaded picture taken in from a camera 1 is differentiated at a differentiating circuit 5 to obtain the vertical and horizontal directional local variations of the shaded value of the shaded picture. Consequently, since the outline of the component to be inspected and that of a pad to which the component to be inspected is soldered can be detected respectively and independently, the relative positions of the component and the pad can be obtained from the same picture, and the position of a polarity mark sealed on the component can be automatically detected from the detected position of the component. Thus, the component can be accurately inspected even when the position shift between the position of the camera 1 and the position of a substrate on which the component to be inspected is packaged occurs, and the position of the pad becomes ambiguous.
