Abstract:

To provide an inspection method and an inspection system that securely detect defects such as a crack and a pinhole.

The inspection method employed in a state of a half cell HC comprising an electrolyte and a fuel electrode includes: jetting alcohol to the electrolyte by an alcohol injector 2; imaging the electrolyte on which the alcohol sticks by a camera 3; image processing on image data generated by the camera 3 by an image processing section 42; and determining whether the electrolyte is defective by a determination section 43 based upon a processing result of the image processing section 42. Consequently, defects such as a crack and a pinhole can be securely detected.
