To provide a combustion apparatus capable of surely processing drain water by alleviating filling work in aged deterioration of calcium carbonate and by having a neutralization vessel without increasing the volume of a wall penetration iron pot body.
This combustion apparatus includes: a combustion apparatus body installed on a bathroom wall; a secondary heat exchanger arranged in the combustion apparatus body for recovering latent heat; and the neutralization vessel arranged outside the combustion apparatus body for neutralizing and discharging drain water produced in the secondary heat exchanger. In the combustion apparatus, the neutralization vessel is installed in a space among a bathroom wall perpendicular to the bathroom wall with the combustion apparatus body installed thereon, a bathroom floor surface, and a bathtub.
