PURPOSE: To raise the efficiency of operations by sufficienctly securing space for connecting operations by a method in which a jack-up device is set in an operating room provided on the lower end of a skew shaft, and single pipes are orderly pushed up while being conncted in the operating room.
CONSTITUTION: An operating room 10 leading to a lower drift 11 is formed on the lower end of a skew shaft 1, and a jack-up device is set in the opeating room 10. A top pipe 14 tapered toward its upper end is carried in till the front of the operating room through a carrying-in truck 12 and coupled with a pushing up frame 21 on jacks 37 and 38 by a chain block. An oilpressure cylinder 30 is contracted, the top pipe 14 is lifted up, the first single pipe 41 is put into the lower part of the pipe 14, and the contact portions of them are welded. Afterwards, the pushing-up frame 21 is coupled with the projection 26 of the first single pipe 41 and moved toward the direction of B, and the pipe 14 is inserted into the skew shaft 1. These processes are repeated to install steel pipes in the skew shaft 1.
