To obtain a weighing instrument by which the weighting of the load of an ore or the like can be executed efficiently by a method wherein a signal which is detected by a load cell is transmitted, through a transmitter installed at the outer frame of a carriage, toward a receiver which is installed in a position isolated from the carriage.

A carriage 2 is installed, and four load cells 3 are installed on the carriage 2. A transportation container 1 is loaded on the carriage 2 so as to be arranged on the load cells 3. The loaded weight of an ore or the like inside the transportation container 1 is detected by the load cells 3. Their signals are transmitted, through a transmitter 4 installed at the outer frame of the carriage 2, toward a receive 5 which is installed in a position isolated from the carriage 2. The loaded weight of the ore or the like inside the transportation container 1 can be measured without moving the transportation container 1 to a specific position and without positioning the transportation container, and the labor of an operator can be reduced remarkably. Thereby, the weighting operation of the load of the ore or the like can be performed efficiently. In addition, when the receiver 5 is installed in the halfway part of the movement route of the carriage 2, the load weight can be measured without performing the weighting of the load of the ore or the like.
