Title:
INSULATING SUPPORT FOR ACCELERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3730857
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an occurrence of great stress between an insulating support and a metal plate due to a difference in coefficient of thermal expansion between them to cause crack or fracture in the insulating support by the stress.
SOLUTION: One end surfaces of a plurality of columnar ceramic conjugation members 3 composed of substantially the same material as an insulating support 1 are bonded to both end surfaces 1a, 1a of the insulating support 1 with an insulating adhesives 6, and a main surface of a metal plate 2 having an external shape greater than the end surface 1a of the insulating support 1 is brazed to the other end surface of each ceramic conjugation member 3, wherein the greatest width of the end surface 1a of the insulating support 1 is not smaller than &phiv L=ΔL/{(Ts-To)}(α2-α1)}, (wherein, ΔL is a difference in thermal expansion that the insulating support 1 is led to breakage when the insulating support 1 is brazed to the metal plate 2, Ts is a brazing temperature, To is room temperature, α2 is a coefficient of thermal expansion of the metal plate, and α1 is a coefficient of thermal expansion of the insulating support 1), and the greatest width of the brazing surface of the ceramic conjugation member 3 is smaller than &phiv L.
