Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for reporting the opening of electronic mail which flexibly meets user's needs by individually managing ordinary electronic mail and the report on opening.
SOLUTION: A mail server 25 has a mail storage part 254a which stores ordinary electronic mail and an opening report storage part 254b which stores only reports on opening. The mail server 25 once receiving ordinary electronic mail addressed to a mobile station 10 temporarily stores the electronic mail in the mail storage part 254a and sends it to the mobile station 10. When receiving a report on opening addressed to the mobile station 10, on the other hand, the mail server 25 stores the report on the opening in the opening report storage part 254b and sends the corresponding opening report at an acquisition request sent from the mobile station 10 through user's operation.
