Abstract:

To greatly increase power output using surplus steam without using a complex and expensive absorption refrigerator nor indirect heat exchanger, and with out supplying compressed air nor process steam.

Provided are: gas turbine 12 composed of a compressor 1 which compresses air, a combustor 2 which combusts the fuel, and a turbine 3 which is driven by fuel gas and drives the compressor; and injection steam line 31 which leads steam to and injects it into the combustor; an extraction steam air-cooling line 32 which extracts the compressed air from the compressor and cools/expands it and generates low temperature air; an intake air mixer cooler 36 which directly mixes the low temperature air that was generated with the intake air of the compressor. Further, the extraction steam air cooling line is provided with an indirect cooler 34 which indirectly cools the extraction steam sir and an expansion turbine 35 which expands the cooled air. The amount of compressed air extracted is substantially proportionate to the amount of injected steam. As a result, the amount of extraction steam air is adjusted such that the pressure at the outlet of the compressor does not reach the point where surging will occur.
