Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve startability of an internal combustion engine while preventing occurrence of misfire of a combustor.
SOLUTION: A combustor 11 is started before cranking an engine 1 in order to start the engine 1. Combustion gas generated in the combustor 11 is partially supplied to an intake side of the engine 1. The remainder is exhausted to the exhaust side of the engine 1. It is possible to prevent combustion gas of the combustor 11 from filling the intake side of the engine, and contraflow of the gas into the combustor 11, and thereby occurrence of misfire is prevented. Sufficient heating of the intake is enabled, so that startability o the engine 1 is improved with certainty.
