Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress intake noises certainly at a low cost without risk of generation of a harmful effect such as water intrusion, etc.
SOLUTION: A duct wall of that internally located part 3 of a intake duct 1 which has a large pressure variation owing to an air column resonance, is given a small rigidity at least in one direction perpendicular to the axis of the duct so that the part is easily deformed more than the other parts, and the pressure variation energy is absorbed by elastic deformation of the duct wall of that part 3 with the applied pressure variation is large, and thereby the air column resonance is damped and noises are suppressed effectively.
