Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent cracking in a ceramic by casting internal chilling metal around a ceramic body after coating outer circumference of the ceramic body with a material having a low m.p.
CONSTITUTION: The outer circumference of ceramic body 1 is coated with an intermediate layer 2 of the material having a m.p. lower than that of the internal chilling metal 4. The metal 4 is cast on the circumference thereof and the second layer 3 is arranged between the intermediate layer 2 and the internal chilling layer 4. By this method, the coating material having a low m.p. relieves thermal shock and the tightening force of the internal chilling metal is absorbed with molten state.
