PURPOSE: To promote vaporization of fuel before the fuel is supplied to an engine by providing a channel member for producing and supplying a mixture and a heating device having a heat exchange surface for heating the fuel and dividing and supplying the mixture.

CONSTITUTION: An engine 10 has a channel member 12 such as a cylinder head having an intake valve 20 in a cylinder 18 of a block 19. The cylinder head has a channel 22. The channel 22 has an inlet 24 and an outlet 26 communicated with an intake valve opening 28 of the cylinder 18. A fuel injector 32 is arranged on the cylinder head. A heating device is arranged on the engine 10. The heat exchange surface 54 thereof is disposed in the channel 22. A metal element having the heat exchange surface 54 has a heat exchange surface section 54.1 disposed opposite the inlet 24 thereby intercepting the air 40 and fuel 34 directed to the channel 22.
