Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the intersection passing vehicle monitor system which monitors a vehicle passing through an intersection and specifies a violating vehicle.
SOLUTION: A photographing device 11a which photographs a vehicle passing through an intersection and an image pickup device 12A which picks up an image of the front of the vehicle are installed at the intersection, the image obtained by the photographing device is processed by an image processor 13 to detect and trace the vehicle and discriminate a violating vehicle, and the image signal obtained by the image pickup device is compressed by an image compression part 24 and transmitted by an image communication part 25 to a personal computer 14 to recognize the license number of the violating vehicle discriminated by the image processor 13. Then information on the vehicle number is outputted by a display device 16 and a printer 17 together with the image obtained by the image pickup device.
