To improve the accuracy of an equipment interval by measuring the total circumference value of a lift from the amount of rope travel, and if this measured value is within the allowable range of a theoretical calculation value, judging it as this total circumference value of this lift, thereby compensating the equipment interval on the basis of a portion of errors lying between the lift total circumference value and the theoretical value.
A programmable controller 14 detects one unit of optional equipment during the operation of a lift, and a total circumference value of the lift is measured by this one optional equipment upon counting it with a rope travel detecting switch 9. If this measured total circumference value is within the allowable range of a theoretical calculation value of a pulse number in which one unit of optional carrier goes around, detected by a proximity switch in advance, it is judged as the total circumference value of the lift, whereby an equipment interval is compensated on the basis of a portion of errors lying between this lift total circumference value and a theoretical value of the lift total circumference value. With this constitution, accuracy in the equipment interval is improvable, making the extent of equipment delivery efficiency promotable as well.
