Abstract:
To solve problems of conventional evaluation methods and to provide an evaluation method capable of accurately evaluating transport numbers when there are two types of conductive ion species.SOLUTION: An ion transport number evaluation method for measuring transport numbers of two types of conductive ionic species with respect to a solid electrolyte 2 can measure electromotive force generated in the solid electrolyte 2 under two different chemical potential gradients under different conditions with respect to the two types of conductive ionic species provided to the solid electrolyte 2, and simultaneously measure the transport number of each one of the conductive ion species constituting the two types of conductive ion species based on a difference in the electromotive force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
