Abstract:
To prepare a source for a good gasoline mixed material with high octane value and small sensitivity by isomerizing a straight light naphtha in purification of petroleum.
In an isomerization catalyst for light paraffin used in a method for isomerizing light paraffin under hydrogen pressure, the isomerization catalyst is a catalyst wherein a binary metal hydroxide contg. metal hydroxides of zirconium and hafnium by a molar ratio of 1:1-20:1 is prepd. by coprecipitation method wherein it is precipitated under a condition of pH of 7.5-9.0 and a VIII group metal is carried on the formed binary metal hydroxide and it is treated with sulfate ion and thereafter, it is calcined at 550-750°C.
