Abstract:
To provide a method for regeneration of a palladium-contg. catalyst used for preparing a carboxylate by reacting an aldehyde with an alcohol in a liq. phase by using molecular oxygen.
In a catalyst contg. at least palladium used for preparing a carboxylate by reacting an aldehyde with an alcohol in a liq. phase by using molecular oxygen, the catalyst with deteriorated activity is treated at a temp. of 0-100°C and for 0.1-50 hours in the presence of a reducing agent.
