Abstract:
To provide a joint for a gas meter, surely intercepting a gas passage before a gas meter is molten due to a fire or the like.
A tapered valve seat 24a is formed on the inner surface of the lower end part of the gas passage 24. A storing recessed part 24b, the lower part of which is opened, is formed in the inner surface of the intermediate part in the vertical direction of the gas passage 24. The storing recessed part 24b is disposed substantially right above the valve seat 24a. A ball valve 5 is stored in the storing recessed part 24b. The ball valve 5 is supported by a holding member 6 formed of regin molten or burnt out at a high temperature to be disabled from escaping downward from the storing recessed part 24b.
