PURPOSE: To simply set up a key sequence when a specific key function is expressed by the continuous depression of keys.

CONSTITUTION: In a data processor capable of specifying a prescribed key function by the depression of at least one prescribed key out of keys on a keyboard, a key sequence setting device for setting up correspondence between a character code string corresponding to a key sequence expressing a key depression order and a key function has a setting part 3 for inputting a key function name to be set up, allowing an operator to depress keys constituting the key sequence in prescribed order, arraying character codes generated by the key depression in the depression order, and storing the character codes in a key sequence setting file 2 correspondingly to the key function name.
