Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic lane deviation prevention system that improves lane deviation avoidance performance of an associated vehicle.
SOLUTION: When an associated vehicle trends toward deviation from a traffic lane (Step S3), a yaw moment assignment Xm and a deceleration assignment Xd are set according to an angle &phiv formed between the traffic lane of the associated vehicle and the longitudinal axis of the associated vehicle (Step S4), a yaw moment command Ms is calculated according to the yaw moment assignment Xm so as to produce yaw moment in a direction to avoid the deviation of the associated vehicle from the traffic lane (Step S5), a deceleration control quntity Pg is calculated according to the deceleration assignment Xd (Step S6), and braking force on each wheel is controlled according to the yaw moment command Ms and deceleration control quntity Pg (Step S7, S8).
