The laser light-emitting device 1 comprises the laser drive 2, a semiconductor laser 3, and an optical system 4. The laser drive 2 comprises a light receiver 21 for receiving one portion of laser beams emitted from the semiconductor laser 3, a control unit 23 for comparing output characteristics detected by the light receiver 21 with preset reference output characteristics to determine whether the output characteristics are within a tolerance, and a driven 24 for changing a drive current supplied to the semiconductor laser 3 when the output characteristics exceed the tolerance.
