Abstract:

To obtain a Laticauda semifasciata processed food rich in zinc content and simplified in its use through addition to various food materials, and to provide a method for producing such a processed food.

This method for producing the subject processed food comprises such processes that a hot water extract solution obtained by subjecting Laticanda semifasciata to hot water treatment under pressure, or an extract solution obtained by dissolving in a basic aqueous solution hot water insolubles obtained after separating the above hot water extract solution is evaporated to dryness and then ground into powder. Furthermore, it is also possible to dry a water-soluble substance obtained by dissolving the hot water insolubles in a basic aqueous organic solvent as menthioned above followed by neutralization by addition of an acid, and then grind the dried substance into powder.
