To provide a letter-of-introduction preparation support device capable of easily performing transcription to a letter of introduction without causing data to be inserted in an unexpected position.
The letter-of-introduction preparation support device comprises a letter-of-introduction preparing means for displaying on the same screen a patient's chart display field which displays data read from a medical treatment information file, and a letter-of-introduction data display field which displays data to be transcribed to the letter of introduction, and transcribing data instructed for selection out of the data displayed on the patient's chart display field, to the letter-of-introduction data display field in response to one-time selecting instructions by a user from an input means and displaying it, and a file output means for performing storage control of the transcribed letter-of-introduction data in a letter-of-introduction file. The letter-of-introduction preparing means is configured to add the transcribed data always to the tail of the letter-of-introduction data according to setting.
