To provide a ligature for a wind instrument capable of, without any damage to a mouthpiece, etc., improving more vibration efficiency of a reed than before, creating a sound that gives a preferable effect to an instrument body, and adjusting sound quality produced thereby according to the preference of a player.SOLUTION: While an inner peripheral surface 18a of an eccentric ligature 18 has a columnar shape, an outer peripheral surface 18b has an elliptic columnar shape. Since the center of the inner peripheral surface 18a is provided at a lower position than the center of the outer peripheral surface 18b, a part 18c and a part 18e are made thick and thin in thickness, respectively. Since the outer peripheral surface 18b has an elliptic columnar shape, a part 18d and a part 18f are made thicker in thickness. Although an inner peripheral surface 19a and an outer peripheral surface 19b of an eccentric ligature 19 both have a columnar shape, since the center of the inner peripheral surface 19a is provided at a lower position than the center of the outer peripheral surface 19b, a part 19c and a part 19e are made thick and thin in thickness, respectively. Since the outer peripheral surface 19b has a columnar shape, a part 19d and a part 19f are made thicker than the part 19c and thinner than the part 19e in thickness, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
