Title:
LIGHT QUANTITY CONTROLLER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3677915
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve stable and accurate control of light quantity by suppressing light quantity differences between a plurality of semiconductor lasers with simple circuit construction.
SOLUTION: A light quantity sensor 16 senses laser beams emitted from semiconductor lasers 12, 14 and outputs a current in accordance with the sensed light quantity. A current distributor 18 distributes the output current from the light quantity sensor 16 to amplifiers 20, 22 evenly. The amplifiers 20, 22 convert the distributed currents into voltages and adjust the gains by variable resistors RV1, RV2 whose resistance values are settable corresponding to the gains of light quantity sensitivity of respective semiconductor lasers 12, 14. Therefore, dispersion of light quantity sensitivity of an output characteristic of respective semiconductor lasers 12, 14 can be corrected. Further, driving currents for driving the semiconductor lasers 12, 14 are controlled by comparators 24, 26, S/H control circuits 30, 32, and laser driving circuit 34, 36.
