PURPOSE: To determine the photodetection range of a colorimetry means according to a subject distance by deciding a light source which is dominant as a subject lighting source from colorimetry information from the colorimetry means.
CONSTITUTION: A colorimetery signal which is processed by a CPU 24 is converted into light source information, which is encoded by an encoder 22 and stored in a buffer 23. When a switch SW2 is turned on a lens actuator 2a while outputting a lens position signal from a lens encoder 2b to the CPU 24 drives a photographic lens 1, namely, performs focusing operation until a stop command is sent back from the CPU. A shutter 3 is placed in opening/ closing operation thereafter for a time determined by the output of a light measuring sensor 4 and then one-frame winding is carried out according to the output of a photoreflector 7. At this time, the encoded light source information is sent from the buffer 23 to a magnetic head H through a head amplifier 19 and the light source information is written on the magnetic track T on a film F.
