To accurately correct a difference between a line-of-sight detection position and a position where a user actually gazes.SOLUTION: A line-of-sight detection apparatus according to a technique of the present disclosure includes: line-of-sight detection means for detecting a position of a line of sight of a user with respect to display means; subject detection means for detecting a subject from an image displayed in the display means; and correction value determination means for determining a correction value used by the line-of-sight detection means such that the position of the line of sight detected by the line-of-sight detection means matches a position of the subject detected by the subject detection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
