Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable an on-line test even while an on-line system is working, by connecting at a center a maintenance test data fed from an automatic money depositing/paying machine to an on-line test file. CONSTITUTION:For an automatic money depositing/paying machine which can perform on-line test even while an on-line center is working, the depositing/ paying machine (terminal device) 1 is connected to an on-line center 2 via an on-line circuit 3. An on-line test bit is given to a maintenance card in addition to the common secret number and account number. The center 2 decides that a telegram 6 given from the machine 1 and containing the on-line test bit indicates a transaction different from ordinary ones. Thus the telegram 6 is connected to an on-line test file 5 which is provided at a part of a user file area and then processed. Then an answer is given to the machine 1.
