Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the lowering of the aperture ratio of a pixel as much as possible by shielding a light leakage to be generated in a region where the difference in level of an oriented film is large by a light shielding film having the munimum of an area.
SOLUTION: The position of a contact hole 11 is shifted from the center 12a of the vertical direction of an auxiliary capacitance electrode 12 to a direction indicated by the arrow P. in short, to the inclined direction (the direction of a pretilt) of respective liquid crystal moleculars of liquid crystal layer which are inclined by an oriented film. Besides, a reverse tilt domain area 13 is generated by being shifted from the contact hole 11 to a direction opposite to the direction of the arrow P. Consequently, the center of the reverse tilt domain area 13 roughly coincides with the center 12a of the auxiliary capacitance electrode 12 in the vertical direction and the reverse tilt domain area 13 and the auxiliary capacitance electrode 12 are overlapped and then the light leakage of the reverse tilt domain area 13 is effectively prevented by the auxiliary capacitance electrode 12.
