Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the possibility of deterioration in display quality and to improve the production yield by arranging spacers which prescribed the gap between both transparent substrates in a light shield film which covers display picture element areas between picture element electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Conductors 13 and switching elements arranged between the respective picture element electrodes 12 are covered with the light shield film 15, and many spherical spacers 14 are arranged in the light shield film 15. Then a 1st transparent substrate 11 where the picture element electrodes 12, conductors 13, switching elements, and light shield film 15 are arranged and an opposite transparent substrate 21 where a color filter 22 and an orienting film 23 are wired are arranged opposite each other while the gap prescribed by the spacers 14 is left, the outer peripheral part between both the transparent substrates 11 and 12 is sealed liquid-tightly, and liquid crystal is injected into the gap. Consequently, the liquid crystal panel with superior display quality is obtained and none of the spacers 14 is present in a display area, so there is not the possibility of a display defect and the production yield of the liquid crystal panel is improved.
