Abstract:
To provide a liquid developer exhibiting superior resolution and a method for manufacturing the same.
The liquid developer includes coloring resin particles containing a binder resin and a coloring agent, wherein a volume-average particle diameter of the coloring resin particles is 2 μm or less, the sphericity of the coloring resin particles is 0.60-0.95, the number of particles, of which the maximum rate of recession of a recessed part formed between adjacent two protrusions of recessed parts on the profile of a section of the coloring resin particle observed with a transmission electron microscope image exceeds 5%, is 90 number% or more of the total coloring resin particles. The method for manufacturing the same is also provided.
