PURPOSE: To reduce size and weight in a liquid jet receiving device of liquid jet cutting equipment by inclining the surfaces of deflection plates to the axis of a liquid jet, and setting the surfaces of the deflection plates opposed to at least the liquid jet to hardeness of at least 9 in a Mohs' hardness scale.
CONSTITUTION: The surfaces of deflection plates 11, 14, 15 are inclined to the axis of a liquid jet, and the surfaces of the deflection plates 11, 14, 15 opposed to at least the liquid jet are composed of a sintered material having hardness of at least 9 in a Moh's hardness scale. The jet loses most energy by deflecting a water flow through these inclined delection plates 11, 14, 15, so that the jet does not damage the other part of a device any more.
