Abstract:

To effectively suppress troubles such as change in battery dimension, increase in internal resistance, and deterioration in charge/discharge performance at high current, caused by expansion/contraction of an active material attendant on charge/discharge of a lithium secondary battery, and improve a cycle life.

This lithium secondary battery has a positive active material and a negative active material, and at least one material 5 of the two is covered with a covering layer containing a conducting agent 7 and an inorganic solid electrolyte 6. The manufacturing method of the lithium secondary battery has a process of attaching or bonding covering material particles to the surface of active material particle; a process of softening, melting or fusing particles of the inorganic solid electrolyte on the active material particles by heating the active material particles; and a process of bonding or fusion binding the particles of the inorganic solid electrolyte by cooling.
