Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a mechanism capable of easily mounting a cover on a connecting box main body in a sliding manner and locking it.

CONSTITUTION: A locking mechanism is composed of a locking groove 5 provided to a connecting box main body and a locking pawl 7 which is provided to a cover which confronts the connecting box main body and engaged with the locking groove in a sliding manner, wherein the locking groove 5 is composed of an insertion opening 8 wider than the locking pawl 7, a guide sloping wall 9 which decreases gradually inwards in width starting from the insertion opening 8, a press-fit space 12 as wide as the locking pawl 7 and continuously connected to the guide sloping wall 9, and a bearing/stopping wall 10 which is located at the terminal of the press-fit space 12 and the locking pawl 7 is made to bear against. The locking groove 5 is possessed of a sloping bottom wall hollowed out in the closing direction of a cover and located at a position corresponding to the guide sloping wall 9.
