Title:
LUBRICATING DEVICE FOR THRUST BEARING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5491650
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent shortage of lubricating oil supply to a thrust bearing and a thrust bearing pushing up device by constituiting a lubricating device therefor such that a pipe is provided which branches from an oil cooler in parallel with an intake pipe of the thrust bearing pushing up device to supply cooling oil. CONSTITUTION:1 designates a vertical type rotary shaft, 2 a rotary disc, 3 a stationay plate which slides on the rotary disc 2, 4 an oil tank, 5 a cooler, 6 an air bubble separator, and 7 a pump. 8 designates a pipe which branches from the cooler 5 to the air bubble separator tank 6, extending in parallel with a pipe 5b. If shortage of lubricating oil intake arises due to air bubbles moving up in an intake pipe 6a, oil cooled at the cooler 5 is forcibldy supplied to the air bubble separator tank 6 through the pipe 8. Thus, no shortage of lubricating supply appears to the thrust bearing pushing up device. Besides, since cooled pressure oil is supplied from the pipe 7b to th stationary plate 3, cooling effect is decreased thereby so that any oil supply shortage in the intake pipe 6a can be completely compensated thereby.
